A brief but lovingly crafted memorial quatrain upon the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death.
My father is his greatest fan, my mother couldn't stand the man. I thank the gods he did not please her for I was nearly called Elvisa.
My Mother loved Elvis.
That is why she nearly called me Simone.
